 Russia and Iran both have threatened using tactical nuclear weapons.  For Russia they’re mainly talking about Ukraine, for Iran they are always talking about Israel (small satin and the USA ( big satin). For about 40 years this has been their chant.  In 2023 they will have nuclear bombs and some basic delivery systems Iran scares me they are nutty enough to use them.

Hamas is the elected government in Gaza over 1400 Israel citizens were killed by the Gaza Hamas government when they surprise the Israel people with a large terrorist attack. Now Israel is attacking the Gaza Hamas government/terrorist in Gaza after Israel asked all civilians to leave Gaza for over a week. The Gaza government has been firing on Israel with no warning at all.

All the following nuclear events can be a dangerous.

Dirty radioactive DYI bomb. Here one packs used radioactive material around regular explosives.  Can spread radioactive debris over the blast radius (a few hundred yards most likely).  

Low altitude small nuclear bomb say 10 miles above the earth.  Could burn out over 50%  of electric devices several hundred miles under its blast. This includes many autos, planes, cell phones, computers and area power grids, etc for several Months.  

Atomic bomb in truck or ship properly detonated. Depending on its kilotons will destroy or set on fire and thing with a few miles to several min.  People and stick buildings would catch fire if near ground zero.  If in a basement or inter windowless room in a solid brick building not at ground zero have a chance of surviving the initial blast and fire storm.  Outside exposure outside ground zero can kill instantly or take up to several weeks or years. Down range fall out for a few weeks can cause death in a few weeks or years depending.  As a general rule after 7 to 14 days you can go outside again and or when your local authorities say to can.

I do not see a total nuclear war with an all out nuclear exchange.  I see a possibility of a few tactical nuclear weapons and or a very limited ICBM or SLBMs strike as a worse case.

To my kids #3 (Israel at war)

 The Terrorist attack on Israel is an open lesson to us.  Attack when the least expected and with nontridition means.

Stateside we are not prepared for such terror attacks and we should start some basic awareness on these tactics.  To our citizens, hospitals, police and fire as well as utilities, sanitation, water, and power stations.  All these facilities are currently totally under prepared.

Please note we can never be prepared 24/7.  Everyone should have some basic plans a d exercise them occasionally.  For example what is your home invasion plan for armed crooks?

The terrorist have now shown they have no problem going into neighborhoods door to door and killing everyone and taking only a few hostages for their personal shields.  

Please note we cannot prepare for everything we do not have the forces to do so.  Food for thought.

 Years ago I believe it was on 60 minutes a reporter asked a Chinese general where the missile the American and Chinese Generals were looking at in China was targeting.  The Chinese General said Cheyenne Wyoming.  In the reporters report he said a launch from a Chinese sub  in the Gulf of Mexico it would take 8 minutes.  So we do not have hours or days once there is a launch.

For this reason always hav two weeks of food water and sanitation buckets with lids or heavy mil trash bags you can set aside once half full. This should be in your basement or a room with no windows or root seller.

For your pets dogs and cats have about 20 lbs of dry/canned.  Putting a tarp down in a neighboring room covered in dirt for your pets to go to the bathroom.  They cannot go out side either, their fur and feet will bring in atomic fallout which can contaminant you and your shelter if not decontaminated every time.

Remember that FALSE incoming Missile Alert in Hawaii a few years back.  I remember folk’s saying and TV showing the following.  (Remember this all is educational/entertainment)

People had no idea what to do.

- many got in their car with the intent to pick up their kids and drive home, those with no kids tried to drive home with many getting stuck in traffic.

- Others sat and watched the news or called to talk to someone while looking out there window.

Here is probably what they should have done the following since a missile could hit in 5 to 15  minutes.

- Go to the lowest level in your home or building you are currently in with no windows.  Being out side or in a vehicle near/during nuclear detonation can easily cause you death, blindness, severe burns instantly or a slow death over a several weeks. If you are within a few miles of the blast area.

- stay inside until local Emergency Services advise you to do otherwise.  They will put out on the radio or in person when it is safe in your area to go outside and where to go.  Hopefully your shelter area has one to two weeks food and water supplies as well as emergency sewage (RR) for the number of folks also in your shelter.

- if someone comes in after the blast have them take off their outer clothes, shoes and brush out their hair before bring allowed to come in, to reduce the chance of bringing in radioactive dust and contaminating those in the shelter area.

Tips on evacuation

 Florida is very good on hurricane evacuations and still folks wait too long or refuse to go.  Hurricane Katrina showed us that trying to leave the day a hurricane is due to hit land is a very bad idea.  If it is a storm or nuclear war there is usually  few days notice.  The days before are the time to evacuate, the further in advance the better.

Where do you go and what do you take with you?  Where do you go!  My first choice would be to family or very good friends within a tank of fuel away.  Of course you should have sought pre approval and discussed what and who you would bring along.  

For what you bring you should include the suggestions that the Red Cross and FEMA recommend.  Also your critical documents (copies of insurance, marriage, SSI etc. ) and your skills that will add value to your evacuation site such as work skills, food and water to add to the food store at your destination, your tent/sleeping bags or trailer for living etc.

I am assuming you will be going to a place away from a city with at least a yard where you could stay.

Computer chips mainly come from China, Tiawan and India.

China, Russia and India are conducting war games together.

China, Russia, N Korea and others are known to do Cyber attacks on US companies.

China wants to replace the U.S. as the world currency and lead a coalition of countries against the USA.
